Caledon Institute for Social Policy Vibrant Communities

Vibrant Communities is a community-driven effort to reduce poverty in Canada by creating partnerships that make use of our most valuable assets – people, organizations, businesses and governments.

Eko Nomos’ role as the Evaluation and Research Consultant for the Caledon Institute’s Vibrant Communities initiative was twofold. We worked with five community convenor groups in urban centres across Canada to support outcomes-based planning and documentation of the groups’ community-wide poverty reduction initiatives. We facilitated active on-site strategic planning that culminated in the development of local theories of change. Further to this, we worked with Caledon to design a narrative and statistical reporting system to capture and aggregate the results of the national initiative.
